just south of the sahara are the hombori mtns.huge granite out crops rising thousands of feet into the air providing some great walking.
bought a pirogue(dug-out canoe) in bumba and paddled downriver to lisala,the huge trees,magnificent river,hippos and friendly locals made for an amazing trip!
